Service Engineer

Full-time | Office: Rugby

Technical Support, Product Training & Product Improvements

Bring outdoor living to life – with your sharp technical eye, can-do attitude and love of solving problems.

The Role
As Service Engineer you’ll be the technical rock for Deponti in the UK. Sitting behind a desk all day? Not a chance. This is a hands-on, dynamic role that will have you on the road across the UK and Ireland (and occasionally further into Europe).

You’ll help our partners tackle technical challenges with our high-quality outdoor living solutions – patio covers, glass sliding walls and everything that makes outdoor spaces better. Whether you’re on-site or supporting remotely, you’ll quickly diagnose issues, deliver the right solution and leave installers more confident than when you arrived.

Your field experience doesn’t just fix today’s problems – it feeds straight into our R&D team so we can keep improving and innovating. In short: you get things fixed at Deponti, an international company building strong partnerships for outdoor living.

Your impact

No two days are the same. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Dive into our products during a practical onboarding programme (including joining installation teams) so you know them inside out.

  • Travel independently around the UK (and occasionally Europe), planning your visits smartly with support from the UK leadership team.

  • Provide remote support by phone, email or video call when that makes the most sense.

  • Analyse issues fast, solve them and empower the customer to move forward independently.

  • Help us create clearer manuals, installation diagrams and instructions.

  • Spot recurring technical patterns and feed those insights back to product development – your realworld experience directly shapes our products.

  • Train and upskill our partners so they become confident, competent installers.

What You Bring

You’ve got it in your hands – and in your head.

  • At least 2 years’ experience with technical installations (construction, solar shading, assembly, electrical work – it all counts).

  • Solid understanding of both mechanical and electronic systems.

  • Independent, proactive and energised by solving technical puzzles.

  • Able to explain technical concepts clearly, with a mix of patience, confidence and conviction.

  • Comfortable communicating professionally in English.

  • Happy to travel overnight when needed and routinely around the UK.

  • Valid UK Passport

  • Full, clean Category B driving licence (you’ll be spending plenty of time on the road).

Who will be your direct colleagues?

Head of Sales UK
