As Operations Director, you are responsible for Deponti’s day-to-day operations. You ensure that everything we do, from order processing to delivery and service, runs smoothly, efficiently and is centred around our partners. You connect departments, create clarity and structure, drive clear communication, taking our operations to the next level while ensuring the stability of the company and supporting our international expansion and rapid growth.
This role requires a hands-on day to day communicative leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, balancing immediate day to day operational demands with long-term strategy. At Deponti you are challenged to act proactively, take responsibility and to challenge yourself and your colleagues.
The Operations Director will also be a key member of the executive team, actively participating in discussions about company strategy and new market entries.
You will make an impact through the following responsibilities

Your main objective is to improve delivery performance and customer satisfaction, while creating clear communication, alignment and shared understanding across all operational departments.
You will play an active role in strategic decision-making, drive continuous improvement of processes, and transform the different operating teams into one strong, collaborative organisation. In this role, you are responsible for building and leading Deponti’s operations in a fast-growing, dynamic environment.
Operational leadership
Lead all operational activities of Deponti, including Customer Service, Warehouse / DC, Procurement & Supply Chain, Order Management and transport coordination.
Oversee end-to-end operational performance: from order intake to delivery and after-sales service.
Ensure strong cross-departmental communication between Customer Service, Warehouse, Supply Chain, Sales and Management.
Design and implement the operational strategy to support Deponti’s rapid growth and scalability.
Develop and monitor KPIs related to service levels, delivery reliability, quality, lead times, costs and customer satisfaction.
Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement
Drive a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement across all departments.
Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies and risks in the operational chain and implement sustainable solutions.
Lead improvement initiatives in areas such as warehouse optimisation, transport efficiency, supply chain reliability and order accuracy.
Ensure the effective use of systems and data to support operational decision-making.
Take ownership of key transformation projects, including the renewal of the order portal and the future development of a configurator.
Customer Experience & Service Excellence
Ensure that the customer is at the heart of everything Operations does.
Translate customer needs into clear service standards and operational agreements.
Strengthen Customer Service as the central connecting hub between Deponti and its customers.
Ensure proactive, transparent and timely communication with customers regarding orders, deliveries and service.
Continuously improve the customer journey to make doing business with Deponti easier, faster and better.

Your profile:
We are looking for an Operations Director with proven experience to unify our operational departments. Communication must be clear and paramount.

Experience and Education
Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations, management, or similar roles.
Leadership and Management Skills:
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage an operations team effectively.
Proven experience in team management, with demonstrated skills in leadership, communication, and managing complex projects.
Ability to work in a multicultural and remote environment, with occasional travel between different sites.
Active participation in management team discussions, contributing to business strategy and decision-making.
Personal Skills:
Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to build and scale while balancing hands-on execution and strategy.
Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving orientation, and strategic decision-making.
Flexibility, adaptability, and open-mindedness to thrive in a rapidly growing and constantly evolving company.
Collaborative and pragmatic personality, with the ability to work effectively with diverse profiles, avoiding authoritative approaches.
Languages:
Proficiency in Dutch and English is mandatory.
